SINternet.com is my absolute favorite music site. I can't live without my daily dose of "Vitamin V!"

Blessings go out to all of this year's S.I.N. Award Winners. Congratulations on a job well done and let's make next year an even more productive one.
Extended Blessings go out to all of the programmers who came to the event at their own expense. We understand the sacrifices you made to be able to make it to the ceremony and we appreciate it greatly.

Dark Clouds cover all the programmers that are afraid to take chances. Freezing your playlists might be OK for a little while but eventually songs get old. Try to integrate new songs in your current playlists to keep them fresh and expose your audience to music that they haven't heard before. If you don't take the initiative to give your audience new music they will go somewhere else to find it.

In what seems like a yearly tradition, I was summoned to jury duty. It seems like every year I'm that person that gets picked so I made sure to plead my case to the person in charge to see what could be done. The jury supervisor seemed understanding of my hectic schedule and toward the end of the day told me to consider the day sitting in the courthouse time spent.

Looking at the clock I thought about heading into the office but opted to work from the Jersey office instead. There I took advantage of some quiet time away from the phones to review the S.I.N. Award Ballots that had been submitted. The event is close to a month away so things were going to get hectic and getting as much done when the time presents itself is essential.

Wednesday - October 29
I made sure to get an early start to the day... I needed to catch up from being out of the office yesterday and I also had Capitol's Rachael Prine dropping by with Bobby Valentino.

I've been a fan of Bobby V from his start on DTP and Bobby expressed his thanks for jump- starting his career and was happy to be part of the new chapter with the launch of his label, Blu Kolla, through EMI/Capitol. Not only was it the launch of a New Label but the launch of a new album coming in 2009 with the single "Beep" laying the foundation. The single is making noise at Radio and shows all the signs of being a success for Bobby who I personally feel deserves it. He made sure to cut a dose of "Vitamin BV" for Bobby Valentino and some IDs along with a promise to do whatever he could to attend the S.I.N. Awards before concluding his visit.

Later on in the day, IDJMG's Rick Sackheim dropped by the office to review his long list of priorities for the remainder of the year and discuss our promotion game plan. We also discussed the candidates that were on the list to fill the vacated Rhythm position that once belonged to Noah Sheer. Making sure to leave me in good spirits, Rick gave me an advance of the New record from The Dream f. Lil Jon "Let Me See The Booty" which immediately reminded me of Usher "Yeah!" and that's definitely a good thing with the success that single had.

After Rick left, I headed downtown to Highland Ballroom to meet up with Joe Riccitelli, John Strazza and the rest of the Jive/Zomba crew to catch an private performance by Pink in celebrating the release of her new album FUNHOUSE.

Thursday - October 30
Michael Williams kicked off my day calling to let me know that he was sending over the new Jamie Foxx f. T.I. "Just Like Me" and that we'd discuss our strategy for promoting the single to radio after I heard it. Michael's excitement about the single had me energized as I focused on spending the rest of my day working the phones and contacting my Radio Programming Buddies.

Omar at WBTT let me know that Plies "Put It On Ya" was in the Short Stack, he loves the new single from Mims and that he was checking out Gorilla Zoe "Lost" while cruising in his car listening to the S.I.N. New Music Program CD.

Cindy Hill checked in vibin' to T-Pain "Chopped N Skrewed," looking to make room for Shontelle "T-Shirt" and paying close attention to Bobby Valentino "Beep."

Wrekk 1 ran through his Top 3 Records - Kanye West "Heartless," Ludacris "One More Drink" and Bobby Valentino "Beep."

At WPOW, Tom Caloccoci likes Bobby Valentino "Beep," thinks Lady Gaga is a #1 Record, is vibin' to Estelle "Come Over" and has an eye on Shontelle "T-Shirt."

With the workday behind me, it was time for another Executive Card Game. The table consisted of John 'Slippery Spoonz' Strazza, Franco 'Fingers' Iemello, Ricky 'The Wrinkle' Sackheim and John 'The Bull' Boulos. Together we had a good time and shared lots of laughs before heading home with my pocket a bit thinner at 2am.

Friday - October 31
Halloween... I had some personal business to handle today.

Monday - November 3
Today was, as usual, about touching base with my Usual Suspects...

Tim Rainey likes Coldplay f. Jay-Z "Lost," is vibin' to the latest from the Pussycat Dolls "I Hate This Part," likes Lady Gaga "Just Dance" which he first started playing in his Dance Show, and has Shontelle "T-Shirt" at the Top of his Short Stack.

Nathan Reed called happy to hear that Z100 added Jennifer Hudson "Spotlight" since he was one of the first Pop Programmers to jump on the single. He added that he's spiking Lady Gaga "Just Dance" and thinks Little Jackie "The World Should Revolve Around Me" has potential.

Chris Logan said it's all about Kanye West "Heartless" and Rihanna "Rehab" for him this week. He did add that Jennifer Hudson "Spotlight" is on his radar... that he likes Bobby Valentino "Beep," and has an eye on Lady Gaga "Just Dance."

John Foxx checked in to tell me he is looking closely at Pussycat Dolls "I Hate This Part." He's also banging "Just Dance" from Lady Gaga, spending time with Little Jackie "The World Should Revolve Around Me" and has an eye on Jennifer Hudson "Spotlight."

My friend in Flint, Ian Richards has Rihanna "Rehab," Plies "Put It On Ya" and Jadakiss "By My Side" in his Short Stack. Ian also put a smile on my face when he told me that the new Kid Sister and Mims are both getting spiked in the Sunday New Music Show.

As evening approached, I received a call from the slippery one as Strazza invited me to the Hammerstein Ballroom for an Usher performance followed by a meet and greet to close out a great start to the week.
